Rules and Flow of the Game – How to Play Shuffleboard?
The game involves two players (or two teams), and the simple goal is to score more points than your opponent by sliding discs into scoring zones at the other end of the table.
Each player has four discs of different colors (usually yellow and black). Players take turns, and the disc must cross the so-called “foul line” to count. Points are counted only if the disc is entirely within a marked scoring zone and does not touch the line.
The strategy adds an exciting element: you can knock your opponent’s disc out of the scoring zone or into the “minus 10” penalty area. The last shot in a round (known as the hammer) is crucial. The game is usually played up to 15 points, and the winner is the first to reach that score.
